What’s the difference?
I use Magnesium Chloride in my Magnesium Oil Sprays.
The difference lies primarily in their chemical composition, absorption rates, and uses.
- Magnesium Chloride contains magnesium and chloride ions. Often found in the form of flakes or liquid.
- Epsom salts are composed of magnesium, sulfur, and oxygen (magnesium sulfate).
- Magnesium Chloride is known for its higher absorption rates in the body. More easily absorbed through the skin.
- Epsom salts, while it can be absorbed through the skin, studies suggest that Magnesium Chloride is more effective in this regard.
- Both compounds offer health benefits related to Magnesium, such as supporting muscle function, reducing stress, and improving sleep. However, Magnesium Chloride, may provide these benefits mroe effectively die to its superior absorption.
- To summarise, Magnesium Chloride and Epsom salts provide Magnesium and health benefits, Magnesium Chloride is generally more easily abosrbed and utilised by the body, making it a preferred choice of supplementation.
